An elopement is an intentionally intimate wedding experience with 15 invited guests or fewer, built primarily around the two of you.
That does not mean it has to be just the two of you on a mountaintop. You can still have a traditional ceremony, a small wedding party, family and friends, dinner, cake, portraits, multiple locations, or an adventure worked into the day.
A wedding is usually the better fit when there are more than 15 invited guests, or when the day includes a fuller traditional wedding and reception structure with things like formal entrances, speeches, first dances, dinner service, open dancing, or several scheduled reception events.
The biggest difference is not how meaningful or “real” the celebration is. It is simply size, structure, and the amount of moving pieces I’ll be documenting.

I’m a softer presence, but I’m not afraid to step in when I need to. I’m pretty good at reading people, and I tend to adjust to whatever you need from me in the moment.
Some couples want a lot of direction. Some barely need any. During portraits, I’ll usually give you little prompts, movements, or things to do together so you’re not standing there wondering what to do with your hands. I’d much rather get you laughing, moving, leaning into each other, or reacting to something real than keep you frozen in a pose.
For family and group photos, I can absolutely wrangle everyone together, speak up, and keep things moving. But outside of the moments that need structure, I’m usually watching.
I’m looking for the stuff that doesn’t need help from me. The way you look at each other when nobody is asking you to. Your people being ridiculous in the background. Someone tearing up across the room. The tiny moments you probably won’t even realize happened until you see the photos later.
That’s where I think the best photographs usually live.

Absolutely. As a queer photographer who grew up in a deeply and uniquely queer family, this is personal to me. I know how meaningful it is to feel safe, seen, and genuinely celebrated by the person documenting your story.

You’ll receive a complete, carefully curated gallery of the strongest images from your experience. I don’t limit your gallery to a preset number of photographs, and I don’t hold back finished images so you have to purchase more afterward.
The final gallery size naturally varies depending on the length of coverage, the environment, the pace of the day, and what genuinely unfolds in front of the camera. Even two experiences with the same amount of coverage can unfold completely differently.
Rather than photographing or editing toward an arbitrary number, I focus on telling your story as it actually happened. If an image adds to your story and meets my quality standards, you’ll receive it. My goal is to give you a gallery that feels complete, not leave you wondering where the rest of your photographs are.

Not always. A second photographer is most helpful when there are multiple things happening at the same time, separate getting-ready locations, a larger guest count, or a timeline that would be difficult for one person to cover well on their own.
If I think your day would genuinely benefit from a second photographer, I’ll tell you. If I think I can cover it comfortably by myself, I’ll tell you that too.
The goal is not to add another person just because it sounds nice. It is to make sure your coverage actually matches the way your day is unfolding.

If we both feel like it’s a good fit, the next step is a signed contract and retainer.
Your date is officially reserved once both are completed. From there, we can keep refining the photography plan as the rest of your day comes together.
